Older Workers Benefit Protection Act

A federal law that makes it illegal for an employer to use an employee's age as the basis for discrimination in benefits or to target older workers for layoffs. The law also requires that an employer give an employee at least 21 days to consider a waiver not to sue that is offered by an employer in return for early retirement benefits.
